Mentoring a Leadership Group
Our work is confidential to the school Head and the group itself, with the goal to create and sustain excellence in group leadership.
Nearly every Head relies on a leadership group – supportive, dedicated people who make “the trains run on time” but understand where the trains are headed and why. Our work begins with definition and purpose: Who composes the leadership group? Why is each person or position a member of the group? And most importantly, what purpose does the group serve?
We interview members to gauge alignment among the school Head and the team.
Then we observe the way the group functions, in particular on how the agenda is set, how problems are addressed, and how disagreement is articulated. We try to help the group evaluate its own successes and shortcomings.
